Increased the SlickDeals chrome extension coupon auto-apply engagement by 30%


My Role: 

I served as the lead designer and researcher for this project. I worked closely with the SVP of product management, two product managers, and the in-house development team.


The Challenge: 

While the Chrome extension was in Beta I was tasked with researching what the customers needs/wants are when it comes to a coupon auto-apply feature.


The Outcome: 

We conducted a deep dive into our competitors for this project. I conducted unmoderated user testing with possible solutions for the participants to review. From these tests, we decided what solution we would go live with. We then conducted moderated interviews that helped create the next round of possible solutions that would be added to the A/B test. We then ran a 4-week A/B test to learn what outcome would go 100% live.


The Impact: 

The end result was a 30% lift in engagement. From all the completed tests, we were also able to come up with a backlog for the next iterations.
